Sarmady expands Mobile

The new "Mobile Applications" Department at Sarmady will offer total solutions for mobile applications.
Its purpose is to revolutionize the user experience on mobile applications in Egypt by delivering easy-to-use applications that match users' interests and fulfill their needs. The main language support will be Arabic.
"Mobile Applications" team will start developing applications for Sarmady products and websites such as FilGoal.com, ContactCars.com, iCroc.com and afterwards it will focus on developing applications for other parties to fulfill the new market needs.
What is a mobile application?
Software downloaded and installed by users on their mobile devices. Applications may work offline or connect to mobile Internet to get updates.
The main difference between mobile application and mobile site is that it functions offline and have access to many device resources through defined APIs (Application Programming Interface), whereas mobile site must run through mobile browser and has limited access to device resources.
What a mobile application can do (features)
• Define user's location
• Access device resources: camera & flash, voice, microphone, sensors, touch/multitouch, digital compass
• Access user preferences saved on phone (language, time, etc).
• View and add user contacts
• Integration with system applications (SMS, maps, media player, email, browser)
